Bringing the HEAT: Introducing the Hedera Enterprise Adoption Team

Led by Rob Allen, payments innovator and long-time Hedera Council Member and champion

Hashgraph is turning up the heat. Today, we’re excited to introduce the Hedera Enterprise Adoption Team (HEAT), a new initiative focused on driving network value by accelerating the development of enterprise solutions from Hedera Council Members. HEAT is a professional services team within Hashgraph that works across the Hedera ecosystem to provide Council Members with the structure and support needed to identify high-impact use cases and turn proofs of concept into enterprise-grade solutions.

At the helm of HEAT is Rob Allen. A long-standing member of the Hedera community, Rob has served as a Hedera Council representative from Australian Payments Plus (AP+), chaired the Utilization Committee, and played a pivotal role in shaping Hedera’s enterprise-first mission. His career spans leadership across consulting, technology, and payments innovation. Most recently, he was Head of Future Payments (Web3) at AP+, where he spearheaded work with Project Acacia, a joint initiative with the Reserve Bank of Australia and Digital Finance CRC exploring stablecoins, real world asset tokenisation, and CBDC use cases on both Hedera and HashSphere to strengthen national payment infrastructure.

Rob also brings extensive experience within the Hedera ecosystem. Earlier in his career, Rob co-founded PwC’s Vulcan Digital Asset Services, advised Nordea Bank on its transformation program, and delivered payments modernization at Barclays, Lloyds, and Nationwide

An entrepreneur at heart, Rob also founded nodl.io and is on the board of Datahash, applying Hedera to sustainability and agricultural supply chain use cases, and Eco Markets Australia, the reef credits operator for the Great Barrier Reef. He has also advised organizations like Plastic Bank and hiveonline, and co-authored FinTech Revolution: Universal Inclusion in the New Financial Ecosystem, a practical guide to the future of finance.

Commenting on the news, Mance Harmon, Co-Founder of Hedera and Chairman of Hedera Council, “HEAT is about turning Council Members’ ambitions into lasting solutions. We’re excited to have Rob leading the way. His consulting background has equipped him to navigate complexity across industries, while his payments and Web3 expertise have shown him the importance of building scalable and compliant systems. And with his deep experience in the Hedera ecosystem, he’s uniquely positioned to drive this mission forward.”

Eric Piscini, CEO of Hashgraph, adds: “We are excited to welcome Rob Allen to Hashgraph to lead HEAT. The adoption of Hedera by Council Members is not only a key differentiator, but also a strong validation that Hedera has achieved market fit with a diverse range of organizations.”

Why HEAT, Why Now

The industry is maturing. Regulations are advancing. The opportunity for enterprise-scale adoption has never been clearer. From day one, Hedera’s institutional governance model, the first of its kind in public DLT networks, set the standard for trust, stability, and innovation.

Hedera has always been focused on enterprise adoption, and today the network is trusted across industries from AI to financial services. Now is the time to scale. In short, HEAT is designed to help Council members transition from ideation and proofs of concept to production solutions that deliver value to their end-users and the Hedera network.

Projects will be structured for rapid delivery, with a focus on:

  • Executive-level engagement
  • Onsite use case workshops
  • AI-driven rapid prototyping
  • Production delivery portfolio management

Turning Up the Heat

HEAT represents the next stage of growth. By coordinating ecosystem partner expertise and solution delivery partners around shared outcomes for Council Members, HEAT is setting the standard for how DLT can move beyond enterprise pilots and into production.

Commenting on his appointment, Rob Allen, Director of Hedera Enterprise Adoption at Hashgraph,“My goal with HEAT is to give Council Members the framework and resources they need to deliver solutions that drive revenue and prove Hedera’s value at enterprise scale. The Council is made up of some of the most accomplished organizations in their fields, and HEAT is about helping them apply that expertise to create solutions that make a real impact.”

What’s Next

Work is already underway, and more updates will be shared soon as projects begin to move through the HEAT pipeline.

Rob Allen and members of the Hedera team will also be at Sibos, the leading payments industry event hosted by Swift, alongside several Hedera colleagues. Rob will speak on the panel ‘Interoperating Digital Currencies: Solving for the Diversity of Money’ on Monday, 29 September, from 10:15 to 10:55am.
